WPC (10,000 Lakes Region) Events 2008 Events

The WPC 10,000 Lakes Region 11th Annual Car Show, Sunday June 8th, at Wagner's Drive-In was a great show. The weather started out a bit dreary - it rained in the morning and clouds hung around until noon. This probably accounted for the turnout of only 38 cars. Those who were there had a good time - visiting, listening to oldies music provided by Mike Pastir and his family, eating delicious Wagner's food, and looking at all the wonderful vehicles. The oldest was a 1934 Plymouth PE coupe and the newest was a 2005 Dodge Rumblebee pickup. The best-in-show winner was a 1940 Plymouth coupe street rod.

We raised over $2,300 for the Lee Iacocca Foundation for Diabetes Research. Thank you to all those who so generously gave to this worthy charity. And thanks also to Jim Wagner of Wagner's Drive-In for his continued support.

The National WPC Convention is coming up in July. It will be in Farmington, PA July 14-17. See our link to the WPC national web site for more information.
